Part time – 27.25 hours per week / Saturdays teaching required
Bank hourly paid contract
Hourly paid – £25.22 – £28.38 – Teaching hourly rate / £16.31 – £18.35 – non-teaching rate
Salary depending on experience and qualifications

The successful applicant will have experience in the Barbering sector, and either be a qualified teacher or willing to work towards their teaching qualification. They will be enthusiastic and able to motivate a wide range of learners towards successful careers in the Barbering industry. An ability to work in partnership with others and excellent interpersonal skills are also required.
Thorough knowledge and experience of the industry is essential together with a Hair qualification. You may also be required to teach on English and/or Maths Functional skills courses and act as a personal tutor.
As a Lecturer in the Hair and Beauty department, you will teach/assess as part of a high performing team to deliver Hair courses to students on Levels 1, 2 and 3 Hair.
The successful applicant should have a strong commitment to high standards of classroom practice and experience of teaching, and working with young people. You will have a genuine regard for young people and want to work with us to ensure that all our students aspire to do well. You will demonstrate and professional standards in your area of work. The ability to work in a team is essential, sharing good practice and working collaboratively with colleagues are qualities that we will be looking for.
We are looking for someone with the drive and enthusiasm to deliver high standards of teaching and to play a major part in the future of Oaklands College.
